KCAF Rincon's Nova Rosa

ARI# 32792690   D.O.B. 1/19/2014  (5 yrs)

Huacaya, Female, Unproven | Medium Rose Grey

3/8 Peruvian, 5/8 Chilean
Sire: Emerald Farms Rincon Cloud | ARI# 848093  | Light Silver Grey
Dam: Carmelina (Snowmass Nova's Nuance) | ARI# 30433861  | Dark Rose Grey

2019 cria is a true black male sired by our national champion gray, Snowmass RRoyal Fox.
Second place behind Crescent Moon's Breathtaking. Rosa got the best from both of her parents. She has a Res. Champion dam from the P. Andrajo and Snowmass Nova lines and her sire is AOBA Nationals champion Rincon Cloud. Her fleece has excellent uniformity, density, crimp, brightness and fineness. She has correct phenotype, conformation and movement with an adorable face and a sweet disposition. She's sweet natured, smart, energetic and precocious and from our best dam line for overall quality, reliability/productivity and heavy lactation.

Sincere thanks to Sue Hanson, Rainier Alpacas, for agreeing to exchange Rincon Cloud and Snowmass RRoyal Fox (both AOBA champions) breedings that gave us Nova Rosa and her paternal brother Prince de Monaco (DSG).

With Rincon sold and leaving the state, I had to do my Rincon breeding during winter. Fast forward...I knew Rosa was going to be born soon (she was trying to get out for days!) and first thing in the morning I went to check on the dam and there was Rosa, mostly dry and walking around like a princess in mid-January. She weighed 19 pounds at birth and 24 pounds at six days old.

Her Reserve Champion dam, Carmelina, was out of my blue ribbon winner Trufflina (beat P. Microsoft, judge: Julie Skinner) who was the mirror-image of her sire, P. Andrajo (Alianza), and who gave us 13 crias with the best IgG's and weight gains imaginable. Trufflina was just about soley responsible for most of the best alpacas we now have in our herd. Carmelina is indefinite and the image of her handsome sire, Nova's Nuance, owned by Lona Frank (Tualatin Valley Alpacas) and Mary Jaffee (Skyline Alpacas). Nuance's sire is Snowmass Nova, sired by Snowmass Casanova whose sire is P. Bueno (Alianza import). [The Bueno bloodline, in my opinion, is one of the best if not the best bloodline to own as a breeder. There is remarkable consistency and reliability in his descendants.]

We expect she will do well in the shows and if the large fluffy tail she was born with is any indication of the volume of fleece she's going to have (and it is), then make extra room for her blanket on shearing day!

Now to find the best herdsire for her!
